A boring birthday spent alone at home turns into an exciting adventure when a mysterious letter transports the main character into a brooding, atmospheric fantasy world inhabited by talking inanimate objects. Innovative sliding puzzle action mixed with entertaining dialogue and a thrilling cinematic score make Rooms a fresh and rewarding experience.

When I saw the title of the game “Elven Mists” I half-way expected an old school RPG like the ones I enjoyed as a kid (and still do). I was however pleasantly surprised to find that it is what we call in the industry a “Puzzler”. You know, those games that Mom didn’t mind you playing because of it’s brain building aspects? But you didn’t mind either because it was fun and addictive.

Zingball, by Hyperfrog games is more than the typical ball matching games. Based on complete spring physics, this game will surely knock you off your chair when you play it. The objective of the game is to make sure that the mass system in the center doesn’t touch the ground. Simple 5 star game.

Mortimer Becket & The Time Paradox is an interesting addition to the Seek & Find game phenomenon. While finding the required pieces at any one location, you will find them being added to two categories for later use. The pieces that appear in the ‘misplaced’ log need to be replaced to their proper location, somewhere in the time period you are currently in, though not necessarily in the same location. The pieces in the ‘puzzle’ log will be needed somewhere in the current time period to investigate further in to a certain room, or solve a puzzle that is keeping you from finding another piece you need.

Addictive and Entertaining
I’m not a fan of “I Spy” games. I don’t like searching through massive piles of junk in real life, so playing a game like that isn’t particularly fun. So when I started in on Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhurst, I was not thrilled when I found out I had to search through incredibly complex pictures to find itty-bitty objects. But once I got going, I discovered something.
This is fun.
It didn’t take me long to recruit others. Soon, there were six people around my computer, all trying to find marbles and matchsticks in piles of junk and having a great time doing it.
